No. There is no sign-up, on either side. The host opens a room from any playable title and everyone else joins from the link, entering just a display name.
Open a film you both want to see, tap Watch together and send them the link. When you are both in the room, press Start together and the film begins for both of you at the same moment. On a laptop or PC you can switch on the video call to see each other while it plays.
Up to 4 people per room, which keeps playback smooth and the call readable for everyone.
Joining and watching work on phones and tablets. The side-by-side video call is desktop-only for now, so use a laptop or PC if you want to see the room while you watch.
Only the host starts the film, so the whole room begins at the same second. If someone pauses or drifts, the host presses Resync and everyone jumps back to the same moment.
